ESF Conference in Budapest

Dear Philphys List Members,

The European Science Foundation (ESF) Scientific Network "Philosophical 
and Foundational Problems of Modern Physics" will have its next conference 
on "Philosophical and Foundational Issues in Quantum Theory" in Budapest, 
Hungary, between September 1-5, 2005.

The aims of the conference are to bring together (mainly) European 
researchers working in the field of foundations and philosophy of quantum 
theory and to contribute to the training of young researchers in this 
field.

There is no registration fee; however, registration is needed, and 
in order to stimulate interaction and fruitful discussion the number of 
participants is limited to a maximum of 50. Talks by invitation only. If 
interested in attending the conference, please send an email to Miklos 
Redei (redei at hps.elte.hu). Limited financial support is available for 
young researchers from an ESF member state. Applications for financial 
support should contain a CV of up to 3 pages and should be sent to 
redei at hps.elte.hu no later than May 15, 2005.
