Foundations of Physics Meeting: call for papers

15th UK and European Meeting on the Foundations of Physics

29-31 March 2007, Leeds

 

Submissions are invited for the 15th UK and European Meeting on the
Foundations of Physics hosted by the Quantum Information Group in the
Department of Physics and Astronomy and by the Division of History and
Philosophy of Science at the University of Leeds. Invited speakers
include Professor Anton Zeilinger of the Institut fuer
Experimentalphysik, Vienna.

 

Submissions are encouraged in any area of the foundations of physics;
there will be a special session on quantum information. A short abstract
of up to 500 words should be submitted by 17 November 2006 to
foundphys at leeds.ac.uk; and acceptances will be notified by 15 December
2006.

 

Bursaries will be available to support graduate students.

Registration and accommodation:

 

The registration fee will be a modest 35 pounds. A limited amount of
cheap and convenient University accommodation is available for the
nights of 29th and 30th March (standard accommodation 26ppn; ensuite, 36
ppn; price includes breakfast) at Devonshire Hall. Those wishing to make
use of this are encouraged to book early: we will need confirmed numbers
by mid-December. Details about other options for accommodation will be
posted on the website, above. The deadline for registration for the
conference is 10 March 2007.
