Dear list members,

Let me call your attention to a workshop, taking place on the
26th-27th of October at LSE, that will bring together philosophers and
physicists inspired by the work of Miklós Rédei. (Apologies for cross-
and repeat posting.)

Miklós Rédei is Professor of Philosophy and Head of Department at
LSE's Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method, who has
been a constant leading influence on the philosophy and the
foundations of physics, especially in the application of mathematical
techniques to clarify the philosophical foundations of quantum theory.
Miklós has also been one of the founders and leaders of the philosophy
of science research group that Jeremy Butterfield labeled as "the
Budapest School". The workshop, arranged on the occasion of his 65th
birthday, will bring together philosophers and physicists inspired by
the work of Miklós to celebrate his influence and achievements in
philosophy of science as well as to discuss new work, in particular in
the foundations of quantum physics.

Friday talks take place at LSE in room 2.06 of the Lakatos Building
(LAK), and the Thursday reception takes place Old Building (OLD) in
the 5th floor Senior Common Room.

Speakers include: Klaus Fredenhagen, Márton Gömöri, Balázs Gyenis,
Zalán Gyenis, Gábor Hofer-Szabó, Kasia Rejzner, Bryan W. Roberts,
László Szabó, Giovanni Valente, and Charlotte Werndl.
