On Wednesday June 21 Mauro Dorato (University of Rome 3) will give a talk
at the Lisbon Philosophy of Physics Seminars titled "*The conceptual status
of cosmic time*" (abstract below).

These events are organized in the context of the activities of the LanCog
Research Group <https://cful.letras.ulisboa.pt/lancog/> at the Centre of
Philosophy of the University of Lisbon, and they will focus on the
foundations of quantum and spacetime physics.

ABSTRACT:

I discuss three possible understandings of the status of cosmic time,
factlike (given its model dependence), conventional (given its statistical
character) and constitutive, given its indispensability to describe the
evolution of the (observable) universe.
