(POST)DOCTORAL POSITION(S) IN EVOLUTIONARY MODELING
COLLEGIUM BUDAPEST AND EOTVOS UNIVERSITY, BUDAPEST
* One or two (post)doctoral positions available effective December 1, 2006
* Salary: competitive/experience based, 500-1,500 Euro/month (tax free).
DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking (a) motivated and creative person(s) interested in the
modeling
and simulation of biological, especially evolutionary systems with
agent-based
methods. (1) The project is centered around phenotype-based evolutionary/
ecological simulations. (2) A possible future aspect of our activity is
developmental modeling (3) We have an increasing interest in bioinformatics
problems/methods.
Ideally the position requires (an) individual(s) with experience including
agent-based
or micro-simulations, and knowledge of associated computational methods.
Mathematical and/or computational modeling skills are essential. Prior
experience
in mathematical and/or computational biology is preferred but not required.
Funding is available for 2 years from the EC grant QocCosGrid
(www.qoacosgrid.org).
