1. HOW TO PUBLISH A PAPER IN A JOURNAL?
In this session presentations give general advices and useful tips about
publishing in philosophy journals. The talks shall tackle issues like doing
research for a paper, writing the paper, submitting it to a journal, and
revising it in light of the peer reviews

2. HOW TO EVALUATE AND REVIEW A PAPER?
Doctorate students are probably about to write their first blind reviews
about papers submitted to philosophy journals, therefore learning about the
standards and evaluation criteria of writing a review can be helpful for
them, yet not only for this reason: learning about the viewpoint of the
review can help in publishing papers as well.

3. JOURNAL INTRODUCTIONS
Budapest-based editors of various journals introduce their periodicals
which publish English-language papers in order to let the graduate students
learn about more publishing options.

4. REVIEW DISCUSSION
Since the first pieces that students often publish are responses or reviews
(book reviews, reviews of papers or responses), this session is intended to
exchange experiences regarding the genre of reviews by discussing a
response to a given paper. The paper is going to be a very short selection,
a text that is accessible of all readers and is provocative enough to
trigger a response for everyone. Reviews of the paper can address it from
different angles, yet should not be longer than the original text itself.
People who write responses to it should bring along 6 copies of their work.
During group discussions, every participant shall read out loud their
texts, and the group is going to offer opinions about it.

5. PERSONAL CONSULTATION
Abstracts, outlines, drafts, papers and short book-proposals can be
discussed in this session personally with a consultant. (Papers in
Hungarian can be submitted as well!) Those who would like to participate in
this session are expected to send their materials two weeks prior to the
workshop to dosz.filozofia at gmail.com with the words "personal consultation"
in the subject.
