Vor 50 Jahren ist Georg Lukács, der Denker von bestimmender Wirkung in
seinem Jahrhundert, gestorben. Die Internationale Stiftung Lukács-Archiv
nahm sich vor, anlässlich seines Todestags am 7. Juni 2021 einen
deutschsprachigen Diskussionsabend zu organisieren. Die eingeladenen
Vorleser suchen nach Antworten auf Fragen, wie wieweit Kontinuität in
Lukács’s Lebenswerk herrscht, wie die Veränderungen in seinem Lebenswerk
mit den Geschehen des 20. Jahrhunderts zusammenhängen und was Lukács’s
Nachlass im internationalen Kontext bedeutet.


An der Veranstaltung hält Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Müller-Funk einen
Keynote-Vortrag mit dem Titel *Lukács: Philosoph eines Jahrhunderts*, auf
den Dr. Ivana Perica (Universität Wien) und Dr. Francisco García Chicote
(Universidad de Buenos Aires) reflektieren werden. Die Veranstaltung wird
von Dr. László Gergely Szücs (BTK FI/LANA) und Bettina Szabados (BTK
FI/ELTE BTK/LANA) moderiert.


Die Veranstaltung wird aufgenommen, das Video kann auf dem YouTube-Kanal
der Internationalen Stiftung Lukács Archiv besichtigt werden.

György Lukács who was an influental thinker of his century died fifty years
ago. On the occasion of this anniversary, the Lukács Archive International
Foundation (LANA) organises a debate in German on 7 June 2021. Our invited
speakers seek answers to the questions how much Lukács’s ouvre can be
considered as a continuous one, how much the changes of Lukács’s life-work
and his topics are related to the turns of the 20th century, and what the
relevance of his legacy is in international context.


The discussion starts with the keynote speech of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang
Müller-Funk entitled *Philosoph eines Jahrhunderts*; Dr. Ivana Perica
(Universität Wien) and Dr. Francisco García Chicote (Universidad de Buenos
Aires) elaborate on the questions raised therein. Dr. László Gergely Szücs
(BTK FI/LANA) and Bettina Szabados (BTK FI/ELTE BTK/LANA) moderate the
debate.


The event will be recorded and made available on the LANA – YouTube channel.
