Kedves Kollégák! Budapest Főváros Levéltára és az ELTE BTK Filozófiai
Intézete meghívja Önöket Waldemar Bulira: „*This skull will never smile
again”. Leszek Kołakowski and Ágnes Heller’s critique of the Western New
Left *című előadására.

Az előadás azt vizsgálja, hogyan változott Heller Ágnes baloldali politikai
filozófiákhoz fűződő viszonya az emigrációját követően, hogyan gondolkodott
radikális demokrácia, a totalitarizmus vagy a biopolitika kérdéséről. Az
előadás kérdése, milyen hasonlóságok és különbségek mutatkoznak meg Heller
Ágnes és a szintén emigráns, az újbaloldali irányzatokkal sok szempontból
kritikus lengyel filozófus, Leszek Kołakowski munkásságában.

Az előadás Budapest Főváros Levéltára „Budapest School Lectures” és az ELTE
BTK FI „Colloquium Philosophicum” című programsorozatának közös
rendezvénye.

Dear Colleagues! The Budapest City Archives and the Institute of Philosophy
of the ELTE BTK invite you to Waldemar Bulira's lecture *„This skull will
never smile again”. Leszek Kołakowski and Ágnes Heller's critique of the
Western New Left*.

The lecture will examine how Ágnes Heller's relationship to left-wing
political philosophies changed after her emigration, how she thought about
radical democracy, totalitarianism or biopolitics. The question of the
lecture is what similarities and differences can be found in the work of
Ágnes Heller and the Polish philosopher Leszek Kołakowski – who also
emigrated and was also critical of many aspects of the New Left tendencies.


The lecture is a joint event of the Budapest City Archives’ „Budapest
School Lectures” and the Eötvös Loránd University, Institute of
Philosophy’s "Colloquium Philosophicum".
