A HUN-REN BTK Filozófiai Intézet meghív minden érdeklődőt Vlasta Sikimić (Eindhoven University of Technology) Inclusive science in the era of AI című előadására, mely a MI? Filozófiai kérdések a mesterséges intelligenciáról szeminárium sorozat keretében kerül megrendezésre. Az előadás angol nyelven, online fog zajlani.
Időpont: 2025. május 27. kedd, 14:00
Helyszín: online, a Zoom felületen. A csatlakozáshoz szükséges linket az előadás napján 13:00 óráig fogjuk emailben kiküldeni azoknak, akik regisztráltak.

Absract:

Inclusive science requires more than just sharing data and open-access publishing. It is about dynamically including diverse scientific perspectives and adapting dominant viewpoints. It stands for updating our scientific beliefs and practices when we learn from people with different backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives. The use of AI in science comes with the danger of excluding diverse voices because of biased datasets. This is particularly worrisome if we use AI in the peer review process. We will analyze the role of epistemic justice in relation to algorithmic fairness as a preventative measure for securing inclusive science in the era of AI.
