Foundations & Philosophy of Physics UK Conference, 2005

Dear Philphys List Members,

On the request of Jeff Higham, I am posting an announcement concerning the 
2005 Foundations & Philosophy of Physics UK Conference.

It was decided at the 2004 Foundations & Philosophy of Physics UK
Conference that next year the conference should be held at Portsmouth,
where it began under the auspices of Euan Squires and Chris Dewdney.

The proposed date is 11th September to 17th September, 2005, with two
options:
	1) Delegates arrive and register p.m. Sunday, 11th; sessions 
Monday a.m. through to Friday midday, with Wednesday afternoon 
free.
	2) Delegates register Monday a.m. and sessions Monday p.m. 
through to Friday midday, including Wednesday a.m. and p.m..
Those who wished could arrive Sunday and of course, anyone who 
could only attend part of the conference would be welcome.

As in previous conferences, there will be no conference fee.  
Accommodation will all be ensuite and will cost approximately £33 per
night for bed and breakfast; lunch, dinner,coffee, etc. £36. There are a
few double rooms at an additional cost of £17 per night,for those who
would want to bring partners, but they would have to book early. The
organisers hope to be able to provide some financial assistance for
postgrads.

prefer.

Subject to response, abstracts will be called for early in the new year. 
As in previous years, we would expect talks to be 45 minutes duration 
to include ten minutes question time.
