Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am delighted to announce a new reading group/research seminar in
History, Philosophy and Foundations of Physics, starting next Tuesday
(27 September), 10am-12noon. Meetings will be on a weekly basis during
term, for this first semester in New King's NK9
(http://www.abdn.ac.uk/maps/old-aberdeen-details-2542.php).
The seminar will consist of research talks from staff, visitors and
postgraduate students, mixed with discussion of recent and/or classic
work on the subject.
In the first session (27 September), Guido Bacciagaluppi and Elise
Crull (both Aberdeen) will give a seminar on their Leverhulme research
project " 'The Einstein Paradox' : the debate on nonlocality and
incompleteness in 1935".
Most of the other sessions this semester will be devoted to discussion
of Kristian Camilleri's recent book on "Heisenberg and the
Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics" (CUP, 2009).
Please advertise further as you see fit.
Best regards,
Guido
