Working as part of an interdisciplinary collaboration, probing the 
theoretical and experimental limits of the thermodynamics of quantum 
information processing, this post will developing quantitative 
understanding of the gap between the information theoretic and 
thermodynamic costs of generic quantum operations, analysing how 
measures of information arise out of quantifying information processing 
tasks, and how the corresponding thermal costs arise out of the physical 
requirements to instantiate such tasks.
