At the *Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, Institute of 
Philosophy*, the *Junior Professorship in Philosophy of Science 
*(Jun.-Prof. Enno Fischer) offers a position as

Research Associate (m/f/x)
in Philosophy of Science / Philosophy of Physics

(subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according 
to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting at the *earliest possible date*. The position is limited to 3 
years as part of the DFG project “*Progress through Principles: An 
Epistemology of Foundational Assumptions Guiding Contemporary Physics”. 
*The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research 
Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG). The 
position**comprises 65% of the full-time weekly hours. The position 
offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (usually PhD).

The Projectexamines theheuristic role of guiding principles in foundational

*Tasks:*

-academic collaboration in the mentioned research project

-project coordination and support for project management

-independent research in philosophy of science and philosophy of physics 
in the mentioned field of study

*Requirements:*

-completed university degree (M.A./M.Sc. level) in philosophy or physics

-proficiency in English or German

-teamwork, communication skills, and initiative

-Interest in interdisciplinary work.
