The conference ¡°100 Years of Quantum: Perspectives on its Past, Present, and Future¡± is taking place October 20¨C24, 2025 at Perimeter Institute. This conference will bring together experts in the history and philosophy of quantum theory and researchers working on various foundational issues to shed new light on the past, present and future of the theory. The Call for Abstracts for Contributed Talks and for Posters is open until August 24, 2025.
We invite contributions anywhere on the spectrum between historical and philosophical work to novel research. On the historical end of the spectrum, we are keen to see contributions regarding novel takes on well-studied historical topics as well as explorations of more unconventional historical questions, while on the research end of the spectrum, we are especially interested in contributions that revisit historically significant issues in the light of modern developments. Contributions may concern the field of quantum foundations, or a more specialized field that uses quantum theory, such as quantum information, quantum field theory, quantum optics, quantum gravity, quantum matter, etcetera.
Abstract deadline is August 24, 2025; acceptances will be released September 1, 2025.
