which will be held virtually September 14-18, 2026, and hosted by the
University of Pittsburgh.

Organized by Institute core faculty as well as members of the Department of
History and Philosophy of Science, this year's conference will feature more
than 15 sessions exploring topics at the intersection of philosophy and
medicine, including diagnosis, uncertainty, artificial intelligence,
policy, measurement, extrapolation, and testimony.

The conference will be preceded by *Workshop: The Philosophy of Diagnosis*

 on September 14, which will bring together leading philosophers,
clinicians, and researchers to examine foundational questions about
diagnosis and diagnostic reasoning. The Roundtable's keynote addresses will
be delivered as part of this workshop.
