We are delighted to announce the following 2-day workshop on 
**Cross-disciplinary perspectives on model-independent searches**

11th-12th February 2019, Playfair Library, Old College, University of 
Edinburgh

Co-sponsored and co-hosted by the ERC Consolidator Grant *Perspectival 
Realism* and the *Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics*, this two-day 
workshop will bring together philosophers of physics, particle 
physicists, astrophysicists and cosmologists to discuss the state of the 
art on methodological challenges and promises in using model-independent 
searches across a range of areas and searches.
