Colin Howson (1945–2020) taught at LSE from 1967 to 2008. He made important contributions to the Bayesian approach to scientific reasoning and to conceptual issues in probability and logic. This memorial meeting celebrates his achievements via a series of talks that either engage directly with particular aspects of his work or with the underlying themes.
