CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE BETWEEN WEST AND EAST

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

6th June 2025

Venue: Budapest University of Economics and Business (BUEB), online (via 
Microsoft Teams); event hosted by the Central European Regional Research 
Group of BUEB’s Faculty of International Management and Business, the 
Department of International Relations of BUEB’s Faculty of International 
Management and Business, the Department of Finance of BUEB’s Faculty of 
Finance and Accountancy, and the Office of Languages for Specific 
Purposes BUEB’s Finance and Accountancy.

Organizing Committee: dr. habil. Judit Sági PhD (Chair), dr. Eszter 
Csányi PhD, dr. Balázs Fajt PhD, dr. Balázs Ferkelt PhD, Csaba Jáki, dr. 
Milada Nagy PhD, dr. habil. János Sáringer PhD.

The purpose of the Conference is to create opportunities for scholars 
and researchers from all over the world, and mainly from the Visegrad 
Group countries, to share their research and perspectives on current 
developments and challenges in diverse fields of multi- and 
interdisciplinary science, as well as in diplomatic and business 
practice. The event aims to become a forum for scientific discussion as 
well as a platform for sharing recent research.

The Conference is free of charge, but subject to registration. The event 
will be held online via Microsoft Teams.

It is possible to deliver a presentation at the conference in English, 
German and French language.

Important deadlines:
14th April, 2025: registration by email sent to Csaba Jáki 
(jaki.csaba at uni-bge.hu (English language abstract)), to Eszter Csányi 
(csanyi.eszter at uni-bge.hu (German language abstract)) or Balázs Ferkelt 
((ferkelt.balazs at uni-bge.hu (French language abstract)), together with 
sending the abstract in English/German/French (10-12 lines) of the 
proposed presentation to be delivered at the conference.
2nd June, 2025: submission of the full paper to Csaba Jáki 
(jaki.csaba at uni-bge.hu (English language paper)), to Eszter Csányi 
(csanyi.eszter at uni-bge.hu (German language paper)) or to Balázs Ferkelt 
((ferkelt.balazs at uni-bge.hu (French language paper)). You can find the 
formal requirements below.

An online conference abstract and an online conference proceedings 
volume (peer reviewed) with an ISBN number will be issued after the 
event.

All full papers will be reviewed to verify that the proposed subject has 
been followed, the paper is of adequate length, the 
English/German/French of the text is appropriate, and the paper is 
properly referenced. Accepted papers will be published in Summer 2025.
