Dear All,

In regard to organising  the 22nd European Conference on Fundations of Physics I am sharing with you a detailed information on it.

The International Centre for Theory of Quantum Technologies (ICTQT) at the University of Gdańsk (UG) is delighted to announce the 22nd European Conference on Fundations of Physics, which will take place from 30th June to 2nd July 2025.

This conference continues a tradition established in 1992 and aims to bring together physicists, mathematicians, and philosophers of science to explore foundational and philosophical issues in physics. Special Focus: This year’s event will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Quantum Theory, with a special emphasis on its foundational aspects.

Topics: The three-day conference will feature discussions on:

  *   Foundational aspects of quantum mechanics and quantum field theory

  *   Classical and quantum theories of gravity

  *   Thermal and statistical physics

  *   Astrophysics and cosmology

  *   and more
This is a unique opportunity for philosophers of physics and physicists to share ideas and results, following the tradition of highly successful editions in Bristol (2023) and Paris (2021).

Conference Format

  *   Two parallel sessions

  *   Outdoor poster session
Venue: Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics, University of Gdańsk, 57 Wita Stwosza Street, Gdańsk.

Registration opens: 15th January 2025.

Fees

  *   185 EUR (800 PLN) – Regular

  *   95 EUR (400 PLN) – Reduced (students)

  *   Banquet fee: 60 EUR (250 PLN)
